Please take the time to read this.

To all people of the world (especially Christians, or those who claim to be): Before you debate with someone about an issue regarding morals, world-views or beliefs. You should always take the time to figure out where the person is coming from, and his/her definitions [and preconceived notions] of words and phrases regarding the given subject.

You should also take the time to research, and figure out the said person’s views. If the person has YouTube videos or a blog pertaining to the subject you will be discussing, you should at least take the time to take the person’s argument seriously, and not treat their views like trash.

If you are an intellectual, or spiritual person and you have not been treated well by those who claim to know Christ: I apologize for the foolish and unkind behavior my brother and or sister in Christ has shown to you.

What we do, what we say, and how we treat others make all the difference. Nice post.

  3. Well said, John. We should treat others with the same mercy and grace that we want. Jesus taught it and Christians should be the best examples of it.

  4. I agree that we are to treat others as we would be treated, doing our best to use the same justice and mercy He taught us. However, we must remember, and must teach non-Christians that we are just as fallen as they are. We make mistakes, have bad days, say stupid things, and can be downright rude sometimes. However Jesus is not this way, neither is the Church he established. And through Him we can repent, have faith, and receive His righteousness. Simply trying to do better is only the law, without the Gospel, and cannot be accomplished.
